The Fashion Council Germany e. V. is the patron to strengthen the German fashion and design landscape for a visionary, technological & sustainable future in a global market.

Philosophy

The Fashion Council Germany e. V. is the lobby for fashion "designed in Germany". Founded in January 2015 in Berlin on the initiative of national industry experts, the FCG promotes German fashion design as a cultural and economic asset and supports young designers from Germany. In addition to the promotion of young designers, special attention is paid to education, sustainability and fashion technology as well as to the promotion of interdisciplinary dialogue and networking. Against this background, the Council carries out essential lobbying work in politics, business and culture, strives for visibility and emphasises the global relevance of fashion design and Germany as a fashion location at home and abroad.

As a member

No matter if you are a designer, an agency or even a tech company: A membership with us, the interest group for German fashion, is possible for all fashion-related companies. Our members form the strong foundation of the association. They benefit from exclusive member advantages such as weekly webinars, monthly member newsletters, free booking of our showroom for events and exhibitions - and numerous other exclusive events and benefits. As a member, you are part of the FCG community and have numerous opportunities to network with all other members and partners. We establish personal contacts at our regular networking events, the FIRESIDECHATS, and constantly promote possible collaborations and projects involving more than one member.

As a partner:in

Partners of the Fashion Council Germany e. V. have the opportunity to actively participate in funding programmes. In addition to simple partnerships and main partnerships, there is also the possibility of a named partnership in a programme. In this case, the brand is integrated as the title partner. Examples of this are our FIRESIDECHATS, as well as our successfully completed study Status of German Fashion with VDMA and German Fashion.
