German Italian Fashion Experience

German-Italian joint project: GERMAN ITALIAN FASHION EXPERIENCE

The Italian Agency for Foreign Trade in Berlin (ITA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), together with the Italian fashion association - Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) - and its German counterpart, the Fashion Council Germany (FCG), have launched an extraordinary initiative for young design talent: The bilateral exchange project GERMAN ITALIAN FASHION EXPERIENCE. The aim of the project is to promote sustainable and responsible fashion design from Germany and Italy and to develop a valuable network within the German fashion market. The GERMAN ITALIAN FASHION EXPERIENCE will take place digitally from 8 to 11 June 2021 and will be presented to the industry exclusively on the website www.german-italian-fashion-experience.com.

The aim of the GERMAN ITALIAN FASHION EXPERIENCE is to promote the positive market visibility of the Italian fashion industry on the German market and to create initial business opportunities in Germany for the participating brands from Italy. The focus is on getting to know the German fashion industry and building a new network through individual, informal B2B meetings with experts from retail and purchasing as well as press representatives.

In the course of the project, ten Italian and ten German brands will present their signature looks to international experts. The Italian designers include the women's brands Gentile Catone, Gilberto Calzolari, Apnoea, Melampo, MRZ, Radica Studio, Tiziano Guardini and the accessories labels Amato Daniele, Michele Chiocciolini and the no-gender brand DassùYAmoroso.

 

Among the German designers, the women's brands Antonia Zander, Buki Akomolafe, Julia Leifert, Lara Krude, Natascha von Hirschhausen, Nina Rein, Working Title and the accessories labels Faulhaber Products, Lutz Morris and the no-gender brand Oftt will be taking part in the experience.
